How I got here

A little over a year ago, I was on vacation in Bali, dealing with major client burnout. Sitting there knowing I had to go back to trading hours for dollars, I decided I was done. I didn't want a massive agency or a high-maintenance personal brand. I just wanted a quiet, lowkey life lived completely on my terms.

Stories had been there all along. I wrote my first "book" when I was eight, had poetry published at sixteen, and spent years working behind the scenes as a PA for other indie authors. I knew how newsletter onboarding sequences worked, how launch campaigns were tracked, and how the market actually moved.

So when I entered digital publishing, I treated it like what it actually is: a digital asset business. Instead of doing things the slow, manual way or relying on social media hype, I built a repeatable system: market-first positioning, high-converting covers, and rapid AI drafting workflows.

My first month, one book made $30.43. It didn't change my life, but every book I published made the next one more valuable. Today I run 7 pen names across multiple genres. Just over a year after launching my very first book, my husband and I packed up and moved back to Bali full-time. I officially retired him (if you don't count the occasional admin task I throw his way lol), and now we live that quiet life in paradise 24/7.

I wasn't trying to make more money. I was trying to stop working for a life I never had time to live.

What I believe

Books are assets, not art projects. A great story is still the whole point, but a catalog built with intention keeps paying you long after the work is done.

AI is a business partner, not a ghostwriter. I use it openly to plot, draft and edit faster. I still make every creative call.

A soft life isn't a lazy life. This takes real setup, research and discipline. It just doesn't have to take your whole life.
